It takes an awful lot of energy, water and land to produce enough food to feed everybody on the planet. And in the process we produce tonnes of greenhouse gases which contribute to climate change. By having a more sustainable diet we can reduce the negative impact our eating habits are having on the planet. A sustainable diet can help achieve a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from the EU food supply chain alone, and reduce the water footprint by 23%.
